Mutual Aid
The Osceola Volunteer Fire Department belongs to two mutual aid Association.  Mutual aid is a agreement between local fire and Rescue departments that is set up in case of large emergencies.  It provides help from neighboring towns of manpower, trucks and equipment.  Osceola is fortunate enough to belong to both the Big Eight Mutual Aid Association and the Loup Platte Mutual Aid Association.  Area fire departments are not only there for emergencies but also spend a lot of hours training together which make each department stronger and closer to one another.
