The O.V.F.D. held a practice burn on 9/17/2005. All Polk County Departments where invited. Practice was held on interior attack, ventilation, and exterior mode operations. The O.V.F.D. would like to thank Norm and Marian Hoffbauer for the use of the structure as well as for the coffee, tea and doughnuts they furnished the morning of the burn. We would also like to thank the Shelby Fire Department for bringing a back up truck and Stephanie Sunday for the lunch prepared after the burn. Picture taken by Rick Rieck of the O.V.F.D.
