Star Care 5 Class
On September  21 2005 Star Care 5  Life Flight Helicopter Flew into Osceola to give the Polk County Departments a class on their procedures.  Members learned what needs to be done to get ready to have the helicopter land on scene.  The crew also gave members a idea on how to determine if their services are needed.  We also found out if the patient isn't in the condition first thought and Star Care does not transport there are no charges.  Life Flight is a very valuable tool that the department has used and we are very lucky to have the crews come out for continuing education.  Thanks goes out to the Star Care Crew for their class they put on.

The first photo's show the helicopter coming in for the landing. Trucks are put on each side of the landing zone. The helicopter is the light to the right of the flag
